Our Approach
We care about material first. Terrazzo has a depth and variation that can’t be fully controlled, and that’s exactly why we use it. Each surface develops its own character through the process. We don’t try to perfect that. We keep it.
The design is reduced to what’s necessary. Clear lines, balanced proportions, nothing added without reason. The material stays at the center.
Craftsmanship
Every piece is made by people.
From mixing and casting to grinding and finishing, the process requires time, skill, and attention to detail. It’s a hands-on process, and it leaves a trace you can see and feel in the final piece.
A Modular System
Our collection is built as a system rather than a series of individual objects. Different sizes, heights, and finishes can be combined to adapt to different spaces and uses.
This allows consistency across projects while remaining flexible in application, from private interiors to larger-scale environments.
Made to Last
We design for long-term use.
The materials are robust, the construction is solid, and the design avoids short-term trends. The goal is to create furniture that remains relevant and useful over time.
If something is damaged, it can be repaired. The intention is to extend the life of each piece, not replace it.
How We Work
Sessions is shaped by backgrounds in industrial design, product development, and real-world projects.
Renato Kessi brings experience in furniture and spatial design, with a focus on material-driven products and their development into production-ready objects. His work spans roles at Artek, ETH Zurich, and leading office design concepts.
Silvio Hochuli works across product design and systems thinking, focusing on translating complex requirements into clear, functional solutions. His background includes building and scaling products across different industries.
Together, we focus on reducing things to their essence and doing them properly.
